“Ecolalia” apresenta o “quarto dos indesejados”, estrutura arquitetônica projetada por famílias abastadas para ocultar parentes neurodiversos ou portadores de deficiências físicas. Imaginando uma criança aprisionada nesse quarto, porém articulando as matérias à sua volta como forma de resistência à destruição, o texto se estrutura a partir de quatro paredes, correspondendo a quatro matérias distintas: a madeira da porta, o metal do piso, a pedra da alvenaria e o vidro. Como áudio-peça foi criado em 2020 a partir de uma adaptação da peça autoral “Eu repetiria seus passos até perder minha voz” – apresentada na Mostra Dramaturgias do SESC Ipiranga em 2018. Foi desenvolvido em espaço digital através da plataforma nota, ganhando o Prêmio NOTAnEAR de Arte Sonora em 2022, e reelaborado na instalação sonora “Quarto dos desafetos” que integrou a exposição Hall, com curadoria de Denise Milfont, no Tropigalpão em 2025.

“Ecolalia” presents the “room of the unwanted,” an architectural structure designed by wealthy families to conceal neurodiverse relatives or individuals with physical disabilities. Imagining a child imprisoned in this room, yet interacting with the surrounding materials as a form of resistance to destruction, the text is structured around four walls, each corresponding to a distinct material: the wood of the door, the metal of the floor, the stone of the masonry, and the glass. As an audio piece, it was created in 2020 based on an adaptation of the original play “I Would Repeat Your Steps Until I Lose My Voice”, which was presented at the Mostra Dramaturgias at SESC Ipiranga in 2018. It was developed in a digital space using the Nota platform, receiving the NOTAnEAR Sound Art Award in 2022, and later reworked in the sound installation “Room of the Disaffected”, which was part of the Hall exhibition curated by Denise Milfont at Tropigalpão in 2025.
